Tenant Setup
This guide covers the initial configuration of a new DataCentral Tenant. A Tenant is your isolated workspace within the DataCentral instance, containing your users, roles, reports, and settings.
1. Initial Access
When a new Tenant is provisioned by the Host Administrator, you will receive a welcome email containing your initial login credentials and the URL for your Tenant (e.g., https://yourcompany.datacentral.ai).
- Navigate to your Tenant URL.
- Log in using the initial Admin credentials provided in your welcome email.
- You will be prompted to change your password upon first login.
2. Basic Configuration
Once logged in, navigate to Administration > Settings to configure the basic details of your Tenant.
- Tenant Name: The display name of your organization.
- Contact Email: The primary email address for support and administrative notifications.
- Timezone: Set the default timezone for audit logs and scheduled tasks.
3. Next Steps
After completing the basic configuration, you should proceed to set up authentication and connect your data sources:
- Configure Authentication: Decide how your users will log in (Entra ID, User Pass, Mobile ID).
- Connect to Power BI: Set up a Service Principal to allow DataCentral to access your reports.
- Set up Branding: Customize the look and feel of your Tenant to match your corporate identity.
